First Date - Holy Shit

I am at a coffee shop right now.
Local Coffee in the event you care. Wonderful coffee.
I'm on my first date setup online.
Sipping my Joe and nervously looking around to see if my date shows. Really hoping she does and also keeping out an eye for an open table - I'm at a window booth right now.

I am blogging to appear active and channel my nervous energy.

So, you can add blogging to your toolkit of "I don't know what to do right now but really don't want to appear like I don't know what to do right now," activities.

Ball of nerves, caffeine might not be the best choice of beverage, and waiting to see what things may come. On the very upside - this might just be the first interesting cavescrawl of 2013.

And the update...

It was incredible.  If I might just take a moment to congratulate myself on my impeccable taste.  I did really really well in asking out this particular woman.  Holy Shit. What a wonderful and inspiring evening.

In the interests of her anonymity, I'm going to call her "The Gem."

Because, f'reals homies and hommettes, she's a flipping gem.

Damn I feel good right now.  Like trumpets blasting, magic dancing good.
